YouTube has crashed for thousands of users across the US.
Downdetector, a site that monitors online outages, shows issues hit around 1pm ET.
Users have reported glitches with the website and app, citing ‘video streaming’ as the main problem.
Downdetector’s live outage map shows New York City, Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco are in the red.
Users said they are seeing a blank screen instead of videos when logging into the app and website.

The issue of not being able to watch videos could be a major blow to YouTube.
That is because around five billion videos are watched on the platform every day, equalling to about one billion hours of video.
And about 30,000 hours of video are uploaded to the platform every hour.
Approximately 69 percent of the issue reports received by Downdetector cited the website and 26 percent for video streaming. A small five percent were for the app.
YouTube has not acknowledged the outage on any social media accounts.
