A quirky new fruit gummy has taken TikTok – and Kmart – by storm, with snack-lovers racing to get their hands on a $4 pack of peelable fruit-shaped lollies that fans are calling ‘unreal.’
The cult-favourite Amos Peelerz gummies, which come in mango, banana and peach flavours, have become so popular they’re already sold out online.
Originally from Asia, the satisfying snack is now making waves in Australia thanks to a rave review from notoriously picky TikTok food critic, Russ Eats.
‘Peelable gummy bears from Kmart. I’ve never heard of anything like it,’ Russ said in his viral review.
‘I reckon they’re going to be the next crispy marshmallows.’
The lollies – shaped like tiny bananas, mangoes and peaches – come with a firm outer layer that you peel off to reveal a squishy gummy centre.
And for Russ, who famously hates banana lollies, the verdict was surprisingly glowing.
‘The banana gummy is delicious – you have a hard gummy skin and then a soft squishy gummy centre,’ he said.

‘9 out of 10. I hate banana lollies but I love that.’
While the banana version was Russ’s first surprise hit, the mango turned out to be his ultimate favourite – even though it’s not peelable like the others.
‘The mango flavour smells awesome – I feel like we haven’t had a mango flavoured lolly before,’ he said.
‘It tastes like a perfectly ripe piece of mango. I have to give it a 9.5 out of 10. It is awesome.’
As for the peach, he gave it an 8.5 out of 10, recommending fans skip the peel and bite straight in: ‘It tastes like Allen’s Peaches and Cream – without the cream.’
The chewy, dual-textured lollies have been a staple in Chinese and Japanese convenience stores for years, but their arrival at Kmart has caused a frenzy.
‘I’ve been waiting for these for so long,’ one fan wrote.
‘I flew to Japan last week and literally bought about a hundred bags because they were $1 – and now they’re in Kmart.’

While mango, banana and peach are available at Kmart, savvy shoppers say you can find even more flavours – like grape – at select Asian grocers and stores like Daiso

‘They’re sold out online. Guess I’m doing a late-night trip to Kmart… thanks,’ another added.
Others claimed they’d converted entire friend groups: ‘I have literally spent so much money on them in the last few months. I don’t know how they did it but there’s nothing artificial about it.’
While mango, banana and peach are available at Kmart for $4 each or $9 for a larger mixed pack, savvy shoppers say you can find even more flavours – like grape – at select Asian grocers and stores like Daiso.
But with online stock cleared out and in-store demand surging, fans might need to act fast.
