A mother has revealed her ‘perfect’ hack to ensuring children – and adults – are well-protected from the sun at the beach this summer.
Alina Zaytseva, from Florida, US, is a content creator on TikTok who regularly shares ‘mom’ tips and tricks with her 69,000 followers, ranging from baking, to crafts, to DIY home improvements.
In a recent video, uploaded to her TikTok page @alimomlife, she demonstrated four tried-and-tested hacks to guarantee a hassle-free experience at the beach on hot days.
To avoid stubborn sand on feet whilst leaving the beach, Alina suggested generously sprinkling the interior of a sock with talcum powder, before tying a knot at the end to keep the product inside.
She proceeded to use the coated sock to effectively dust off the sand from her feet in a matter of seconds.
Alternatively, the mother brandished a plastic carrier bag and carried it to the sea, where she filled it with seawater to pour onto her feet to remove the sand, before quickly slipping into slider sandals.
Her third hack involves protecting the charging port on her smartphone from water and sand by sticking a band-aid plaster across the bottom to seal the open space.
Finally, Alina suggested using an everyday tool many will have in their make-up bags to help cover each area of the body in suncream: a thick blusher brush.

Sana, from New York, demonstrated on TikTok how she used a plastic straw to prevent her necklace tangling.
The mother simply threaded one end of the necklace through the straw, before fastening it to the clasp and inserting the tube seamlessly into her jewellery bag.
In another clip, Sana shared a second useful tip in keeping pairs of earrings together in luggage, perfect for holidaymakers who are short on either space or extra jewellery boxes or bags.
Using a regular cotton pad, she pierced the pad with the earring, before turning it over and fastening the back of the earring on the reverse side.
