Rasmus Hojlund has seemingly made up his mind on where he wants to play his football as Manchester United club weighs up a decision on the Danish striker’s future.
The 22-year-old’s contract does not expire until June 2028 with an option for a further year but his Old Trafford future appears uncertain.
Hojlund cost United £64million plus a further £8m in potential add-ons when he made the move from Atalanta back in August 2023.
He has struggled to live up to that price-tag, managing just four goals in 32 Premier League games last season.
Inter Milan have made contact with Manchester United to discuss a permanent move for the out of sorts striker.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, any move to Italy for Hojlund is now on standby as his preference is to remain at Old Trafford.

Rasmus Hojlund revealed while on international duty that he expects to stay at Man United

Ruben Amorim is widely believed to be keen on selling a number of players in this window
The only way a sale will now happen is if United decide that the Dane has to go.
Inter have been keen for a number of weeks but their interest is unlikely to be progressed further.
Last month, while on international duty, Hojlund expressed his belief that he would see out his current contract at United.
‘I have a contract [until 2028], so I expect to play for Manchester United,’ he said to TV 2 Sport.
‘I’m looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I’m fully dedicated to the project that’s underway.
‘I know I can’t get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United.
‘I expect to play there, so I’m just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season.’
If United do decide to sell Hojlund, several replacements had being considered.

Marcus Rashford spent the end of last year on loan at Aston Villa and is expected to be sold

Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho are also believed to be likely to depart Old Trafford
Villa star Ollie Watkins, 29, is on a list of targets and United executives have made contact via intermediaries over a potential transfer.
Hojlund aside, a number of other players are expected to depart Old Trafford this summer with Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho all deemed surplus to requirements by Ruben Amorim.
Amorim’s squad reports back for pre-season training this week ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
