Max and Christy originally announced they were expecting their first baby back in December 2023, with Christy sharing a sweet video surprising her husband with a positive pregnancy test.
The emotional clip also showed the couple embracing and revealing the news to family, with the caption: ‘Baby King coming 2024.’
In one scene, Christy proudly showed off her baby bump while holding up a set of ultrasound scans, marking the beginning of their parenting journey.
When baby Hercules arrived, the proud parents took to Instagram again to share the joyous news with fans.
‘Introducing Hercules Maxwell King,’ they captioned a series of sweet snaps, including a mirror selfie of Christy holding their newborn and several tender moments captured shortly after his birth.
The young couple tied the knot in October 2023 at Sydney’s lavish Curzon Hall, surrounded by family and friends.
Their wedding made headlines not only for its grandeur but also for their firm commitment to faith, which played a central role in their relationship.
Max and Christy famously abstained from sex throughout their engagement, a decision they say strengthened their emotional bond.

King plays as a prop and lock for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. He previously played for the Gold Coast Titans and the Melbourne Storm before joining the Bulldogs in 2022
‘We are so loud and proud about our faith… it’s never been something we’ve shied away from because it is so important to us,’ Christy told 2DayFM’s Hughesy, Ed and Erin in March last year.
‘We spoke about it [remaining celibate] early on… on the first or second date,’ she explained. ‘Christian dating 101 is you’re not wasting anyone’s time. It’s a conversation we didn’t shy away from and honestly we’ve seen such fruit from it in our relationship in terms of communication… it’s just so good.’
Christy also spoke about how the couple met at church, revealing she was initially hesitant to date Max because of his NRL career.
‘When I met him I was like, ‘Oh you’re a footy player – red flag. What have I got myself into?’ she laughed, adding that it was their pastor who ended up setting them up.
‘We met at church. I was living on the Gold Coast and he was sitting in front of me… we didn’t talk that day but the pastor set us up. If you want a good guy, find him in church.’
She revealed Max’s teammates were shocked to learn about their choice to remain celibate until marriage, with some struggling to believe it.
‘For sure [his teammates are supportive]… but when we first started dating they were like, ‘As if you guys are [abstaining from sex].’
Christy said their spiritual foundation has helped Max on and off the field.
‘When it [sex] isn’t the forefront of everything, it’s like we’ve just been able to have such good conversations and build on our relationship, and we have such a good support system for each other.’
‘It [celibacy] does help his game, in that it’s just that we have such a good foundation in our relationship.’
Christy said she feels incredibly lucky to have met Max.
‘I feel so blessed to have met Max… we are the puzzle pieces that fit together and it’s all down to God.’
