A British tourist has been found dead in a guesthouse in Italy.
The unnamed man was discovered by a cleaner who raised the alarm in Genoa’s Pra neighbourhood.
Although he was staying with another person before the incident, it has been reported that their whereabouts are currently unknown.
Initial investigations by detectives suggested that the deceased had taken his own life.
However, police are now said to be considering all other options in the mysterious case.
According to local media Liguaria Notizie, the man had rented the B&B for a few days.
He and his companion were meant to check out of the facility on Wednesday.
The investigation into the mysterious circumstances of his death is still ongoing.
