Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren took an accidental tumble while on the Senate floor.
Moseying around atop the Senate chamber’s blue carpet floors Warren, 76, can be seen on video deep in thought.
She then halts and attempts to lean back on a desk at the front of the chamber.
Suddenly, it tilts over and sends the senator crashing onto the desk.
Lawmakers immediately ran over to help the Massachusetts Democrat climb off the historic desk.
Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., were the first on the scene offering a helping hand to the 76-year-old lawmaker.
Warren’s office did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
The incident happened late on Wednesday evening as the Senate worked to get President Donald Trump’s nominees confirmed.

Soon many right-wing pundits began predictably piling on.
‘Senator down!,’ Eric Daugherty, a commentator wrote. ‘Senator Elizabeth Warren plummets to the floor during a Senate vote. She was trying to lean. It ended poorly.’
Warren and President Trump have a long history of feuding.
During the 2016 presidential election, the Republican began calling Warren ‘Pocahontas’ after it came to light Warren claimed to have a small portion of Native American ancestry.
The years long spat culminated with Trump offering Warren a reward for a DNA test to check her heritage in 2018. The results showed that she likely had Native American ancestors six to 10 generations ago.
The exaggeration ended up crippling her reputation with voters as she ran for president in 2020.
Warren is just one of many lawmakers that have had a fall within the last year.
Former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, 83, uses body men to help him navigate the halls of Congress.
He is effectively never seen without at at least one of several sentries who guide and protect the esteemed Kentucky legislator headed for retirement.
McConnell slipped on the marble floor of the Senate in February of this year. He also suffered a tumble in December of 2024.

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 85, tripped and injured her hip while on a congressional trip in December 2024.
She was later flown to Germany for surgery and returned to Congress using a walker as she recovered.

Warren’s fall happened late at night as GOP Senate Majority Leader John Thune pushed votes to confirm Trump appointees.
Late night votes are a sign that the White House’s pressure on the Senate to stay in D.C. and vote on administration roles has lawmakers working overtime.
