A beauty influencer who boasted more than 144,000 Instagram followers has tragically died at just 36.
Liz Lin Ruoyu’s death was announced on Sunday by her husband, who shared a tribute to her on her social media.
He wrote: ‘Liz has always been a girl with a smile, sunshine and love. Although Liz has quietly left, the beauty and love she left behind will always be with us’.
The cause of the Taiwanese social media star’s death has not yet been revealed. She leaves behind her husband and young son.
She was known for sharing beauty tips and tricks with her followers. In her most recent update on June 3 she shared a video of her trying on different sunglasses during a shopping spree.
She frequently engaged with her followers in the comments sections of her posts.
Despite her healthy following growing since she began posting to social media in 2012, her husband said she has never seen herself as an influencer.
He wrote: ‘On social platforms, she never saw herself as an “influencer” but as a friend to everyone.

‘She always tried her best to respond to every message just because she really cared and really appreciated everyone who supported her.’
‘She was always curious about new things, especially about small animals, with infinite gentleness and care,’ he continued.
‘She always had a unique and fascinating taste, always able to use her vision and creativity to add beauty and inspiration to the world.’
Friends and fans took to her page to pay their respects and share their memories of their time with her.
Fellow beauty influencer Nancy Tsai said in her own post: ‘We have so many memories worth smiling together. On the next part of the journey, be able to continue smiling from the heart. Love you always.’
On top of her beauty guru career, Liz also recently launched a music career. She released her debut single, ‘Mist’, in 2022.
