The Traitors strar Charlotte Chilton has broken her silence on the results of Conor Maynard’s second paternity test that proves he is not the father of her daughter.
Charlotte, 32, announced in June last year that Conor, also 32, was the father of her unborn ‘miracle’ baby, having fallen pregnant as the result of a one night stand, and claimed he’s refused to acknowledge her baby daughter Penelope as his own.
A paternity test found Conor was not the father but Charlotte claimed an ‘unidentified male was present’ when the singer’s DNA sample was collected.
The mother-of-one also alleged Conor ‘switched testing locations last minute’ and that her own DNA was not taken.
The pair then took a second test which proved once and for all that Conor did not father Charlotte’s daughter.

In a statement, Charlotte Chilton’s rep told Daily Mail: ‘For those of you who have followed Charlotte’s journey since her appearance on BBC’s The Traitors, will know she has fought an extraordinary battle for truth and justice with heartfelt conviction.
‘We are forever grateful to everyone who has shown unwavering love and support to Charlotte over the past 12 months.
‘Special thanks must also go to Charlotte’s rockstar legal advisors, Lorna McCammon (SFR Law) and Paul Lunt (Brabners) for their invaluable counsel and guidance. We could not have done this without you.
‘Charlotte will now take time to process, heal and reflect and when she is ready, she will finally share her story in full.’
Conor took to his Instagram to share his own statement reiterating he is not Penelope’s father.
He wrote: ‘Today I received the results of a second paternity test which was requested by Charlotte Chilton regarding her baby girl, Penelope.
‘As with the last test, this test confirmed again that I am not Penelope’s father. As Charlotte requested, Penelope’s, Charlotte’s and my DNA were taken at a Ministry of Justice accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte. The results are therefore conclusive.
‘This has been difficult for me and my family, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m glad we can now finally draw a line under this.

Conor wrote in his statement: ‘This has been difficult for me and my family, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m glad we can now finally draw a line under this’
‘I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives.’
Conor and Charlotte were both swabbed earlier this week and the results were given to them by email.
A source told The Sun: ‘Charlotte is shell-shocked by the news. She has been fighting for the truth to come out for the past 18 months during an already difficult time as a first-time single mum.
‘It’s never been about the fact Conor is in the public eye or has money behind him. Charlotte had no intention of ‘trapping’ him. It’s always been about having Penny’s father’s name on the birth certificate. Her little girl deserves that.
‘She’s reeling from the result and is now considering where she goes from here.’
A spokesperson for Conor told the publication they hope that by agreeing to a second test, ‘Charlotte can finally put this behind her once and for all’.
Daily Mail has contacted Conor Maynard’s representative for further comment.
In a standard DNA paternity test, at least two people need to provide samples: the child and the alleged father. Including the mother’s sample is generally recommended for increased accuracy of the test.
Conor appeared on This Morning in May to explain the toll the paternity scandal had on him after Charlotte went on to say she doubted the accuracy of the test.
He said: ‘I was instantly painted as a dead-beat dad. My comments on my social media were all about that.’
Conor added: ‘Mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life. And this year has been up there with my battle with it.’
After the first paternity test results, he wrote on Instagram: ‘Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chiltern’s baby girl Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative.
‘Today I’ve received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope’s father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.’

He continued: ‘All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best.’
In the comments of the post, Conor’s siblings Jack, 30, and Anna, 24, who is also the girlfriend of Traitors winner Harry Clark, showed their support with emojis.
At the time of her shock announcement claiming that Conor was the father back in June, speaking to OK!, Charlotte said: ‘He knows [I’ve given birth] I’ve not heard anything, I had real torment over whether to contact him when she was here or not.
‘And I figured I don’t want to speak to him, but he has a right to know. I knew if I didn’t reach out people would say I hadn’t bothered.’
Charlotte also spoke candidly about her postnatal anxiety and the fact that Penelope looks just Conor.
‘There have been days where I’ve been in tears because I’m sitting here thinking, ‘I’ve got a daughter that looks f**king identical to you’.
She went on to discuss whether she wanted Conor to be part of her daughter’s life, stating: ‘If she wants to walk away from him, that’s fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she’s older, I’m not going to deny her contact if he decides he wants to see her.’

Conor dropped a huge bombshell by alleging that the results of the first paternity test show he did not father a child with Charlotte, despite her claims

Charlotte first rose to fame in 2024 as a contestant on BBC’s The Traitors, but was voted off the show after the contestants began to doubt her status as a Faithful
Conor’s statement came just after Charlotte opened up about the financial hardships she faces as a single mother.
In an exclusive chat with MailOnline, Charlotte explained not just the mental but practical implications of the fallout, confessing she’s been forced to work around the clock as a new mum just to make ends meet.
Charlotte – who has launched her recruitment consultancy business – explained: ‘You struggle financially to make ends start in a new business.
‘You don’t take a salary very often in your first year – and I’m trying to do this whilst I’ve got a newborn baby – do you look after a newborn and do recruitment? It’s very difficult to manage.’
Charlotte continued: ‘Penelope has got everything she needs don’t get me wrong, she’s got nice clothes, we’re booked into baby massage, she’s learning to swim, but that’s because I put her first. I go without so she can have these things.
‘If someone else were to chip in, what else could I provide for her? What else could I do? Be a mum who’s present instead of a mum that’s working every hour and is exhausted all the time because she’s trying to make ends meet.’
