Channel Seven spared no expense housing its superstar Voice coaches during filming for the show.
Daily Mail can reveal that Richard Marx, Mel C, Ronan Keating, and Kate Miller-Heidke all enjoyed living very different slices of Sydney life.
‘It’s always a balancing act between keeping the talent happy and not blowing the budget,’ an industry insider told Daily Mail.
‘Richard and Mel both wanted the full Sydney experience – the beaches, the views, the privacy – while Kate is much more low-key and prefers being close to the cafés and arts scene.’
Rock legend Richard Marx, 61, opted for cliffside luxury, moving into a sprawling five-bedroom mansion in Sydney’s Tamarama.
The jaw-dropping home, worth more than $11 million, is perched above the surf and boasts uninterrupted ocean views, a resort-style pool, multiple living zones and a sleek entertainer’s kitchen.

‘Richard travels with his wife Daisy and his team so he needed space,’ the source explained.
‘That Tamarama property is like a boutique hotel – it has a guest wing, a home theatre and even its own studio. It ticked every box for him.’
Meanwhile, former Spice Girl Mel C chose to live it up in one of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs, Bondi Beach, and was living in a penthouse at the sought-after The Pacific.
The glamorous Art Deco-inspired pad, which rents for a staggering $54,000 per month, offered the British pop icon panoramic ocean views and oversized entertaining spaces.
‘Bondi was a no-brainer for Mel,’ said another well-placed production insider.
‘She loves the beach lifestyle and being able to duck out for a swim or a coffee in between filming. The penthouse gave her that mix of glamour and convenience.’
It is the same penthouse former coach Adam Lambert also lived in while he was in Australia filming the show.
In stark contrast, Australian singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke returned to the same modest two-bedroom terrace in Darlinghurst she occupied last season.

‘Kate could have easily gone bigger, but that’s just not her,’ the insider added.
‘She likes being able to walk around the neighbourhood, go to the local cafés, and keep things simple. It’s her comfort zone.’

As well as lavish crash pads, the coaches are pocketing serious cash.
According to production whispers, Richard is pulling in close to $1 million for his debut season.
Mel C is said to be on a similar figure – with one insider claiming she ‘wasn’t flying halfway around the world for anything less’.
Meanwhile, Kate is believed to be earning between $500,000 and $600,000 for returning to the panel, with her grounded presence proving a hit with producers last year.
‘These aren’t just coaching roles,’ the insider said.
‘They’re investing in star power to keep The Voice on top – and the salaries reflect that.’
