A Current Affair has been rocked by another scandal, just one week after a Channel Nine boss resigned following her X-rated remarks at the Logies.
Two of the program’s senior staff members have reportedly shared a fiery exchange over an upcoming story, according to The Australian.
Veteran producer Kate Goulopoulos and reporter Georgia Westgarth allegedly had a heated argument.
Goulopoulos has now reportedly lodged a formal complaint against Westgarth following the altercation.
They sit next to one another in Nine’s Melbourne newsroom.
The scandal comes after Amy McCarthy quit her high-profile position as executive producer on A Current Affair last week after her shocking ‘drunk’ Logie Awards posts.

McCarthy shocked fans when she shared a photo of Jimmy Barnes, 69, performing at the Logies and captioned it with a suggestive comment: ‘Deserves a spot on the grid! #wouldstilldohim.’
She also shared a post saying she had just arrived at the Logies and ‘could get drunk now’.
McCarthy later added: ‘Luckily my phone died before any evidence could be recorded.’
McCarthy informed colleagues she was ‘standing down’ in an email on Thursday following her questionable comments on Facebook.
In the email sent to A Current Affair staff, McCarthy apologised for her behaviour and informed them she had decided to ‘stand down’ from her role.
She also expressed regret for casting a negative light on the news program, admitting she’d made ‘a stupid mistake’.
‘I want to thank so many of you for the love and support you’ve shown me over what has been a really tough week,’ McCarthy wrote.
‘I made a stupid mistake—one that was not meant to be hurtful or harmful in any way. But it has brought unwanted and negative attention to a show I love and a team I adore. For that, I’m very sorry.

‘With the support of my family, I’ve had time to reflect on this and after talking about what’s appropriate for me and the show going forward, I am stepping down as EP of A Current Affair, effective immediately.
‘I’ve worked really hard over the past 12 months to make sure ACA is the best it can be. I made a huge commitment to this show. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.
‘I’m not leaving Nine, I’m heading back to the newsroom—a place I’ve loved for over a decade.
‘I’ll be joining the News production team and I’m really looking forward to jumping straight back into it.’
The network followed the shocking news with a reminder to all staff about their ‘professional obligations’.
Nine’s director of news and current affairs, Fiona Dear, sent the message via email to all staff.
In the note to staff, which was sighted by the Daily Mail, the network boss wanted to remind ‘broadcast journalists and on-air talent’ that their conduct was ‘vital’ to maintaining trust with the viewing public.
Dear also reminded staff to adhere to the professional and ethical standards outlined in the Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice, as well as Nine’s Social Media Guidelines and Gift Policy.
