This is the moment a group of alleged drug smugglers unloaded a shipment from a large speed-boat in front of stunned beachgoers on Spain‘s Costa del Sol.
Footage shot by tourists on Playa Ancha in Casares on Saturday evening shows at least six men casually moving what appears to be three bales of drugs from a speed boat and onto a vehicle parked up close to the shore.
The majority of the men cover their faces with their T-shirts as they work in front of families enjoying a day out at the beach.
Once the alleged smugglers are finished unloading their cargo from the vessel, four men get into the car and drive off, while the two others sail away, as beachgoers watch in astonishment.
No arrests have been made and it was not immediately clear what was inside the packages.
Casares City Council has condemned the incident and demanded further reinforcements from Spain’s national guard to tackle drug smuggling on the country’s coasts.
Major Juan Luis Villalon said the council has repeatedly called for more officers to be patrolling the shores to prevent such incidents from happening again.
The alleged incident on Saturday is the latest in a spate of drug smuggling cases in southern Spain, where traffickers often unload shipments on beaches.

Spain is a major gateway for illicit drugs entering Europe from Central and South America, as well as North Africa.
Sailboats, containers, semi-submersibles and boats are used by smugglers to reach Spanish waters.
Despite its struggles with drug smuggling, Spain is the European Union member seizing the largest volumes of both cocaine and cannabis. In 2023, Spanish authorities seized 142 tons of cocaine.
Earlier this year, two suspected drug smugglers set fire to their own yacht to destroy cocaine on board as they were intercepted by Spanish police off the coast of Tenerife.
The crooks were injured in their own act of arson and had to be rescued with helicopters, before being arrested.
