Travis Kelce carefully plotted his proposal to Taylor Swift down to every small detail to ensure that the songstress was left stunned by his romantic gesture, according to a new report.
The A-list couple announced their bombshell engagement last week when the pop sensation shared several romantic snaps of the tight end getting down on one knee to her 282 million Instagram followers.
However, it has now been confirmed that the happy couple had kept their engagement under wraps with Kelce actually popping the question weeks ago in a carefully planned proposal.
The Kansas City Chiefs star had strategically earmarked the day of Swift’s New Heights episode recording as the date of his romantic gesture as part of his proposal plotting.
As Kelce whisked the hitmaker away to film her hit special guest episode on his podcast with his brother Jason, a team descended on his garden to stage the amorous setting for his proposal, according to Page Six.
He reportedly hired the crew to setup the magical garden while they were filming so that he could ask the songstress to be his wife immediately after they wrapped up the recording.

The sly tactic ensure that the 14-time Grammy Award winner was left surprised by the proposal, left without an inkling as she lovingly lifted the lid on their two-year romance on New Heights.
Yet, the three-time Super Bowl winner also chose the moment with his fiancee in mind. He reportedly chose that day as he knew Swift would be glammed up with her hair and makeup done to ensure she looked like a blushing bride-to-be in the photos.
The strategy was part of a long time of planning for Kelce, who reportedly knew for a while that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Swift.
‘He knew that he wanted to marry her. [The date] was just a matter of when the timing was right,’ a source told Page Six. ‘It was less about the significance of the time and [more about] when he could actually do it in between her tour and his season.’
Kelce, who begins his 13th NFL season with the Chiefs later this week, proposed to the ‘Fortnight’ singer in a gorgeous setting surrounded by swathes of flowers in his backyard.
However, according to his dad Ed, who confirmed the proposal took place a couple of weeks ago, Kelce could have sealed the deal anywhere.
‘Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,’ Ed Kelce told Cleveland TV station WEWS. ‘He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event.’
‘And I told him repeatedly, you know, “You could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event… when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”‘

‘He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘let’s go out and have a glass of wine. They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.’
Both Kelce and Swift’s families are said to be thrilled with the engagement with Jason Kelce offering a particularly enthusiastic reaction on a later New Heights episode.
‘There is one gigantic piece of new news that just hit the waves,’ Jason said. ‘We did record this podcast on Monday, which was Travis’ one day off, so he is not here to address this himself.
‘But we felt it was necessary as a team here at ‘New Heights’ to get together send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged. Yeah! The proposal heard around the world! F**k yeah!’
Donna Kelce has yet to speak publicly about the news but did change her Facebook ‘background’ picture to a viral meme shwoing pictures of Kelce and Swift as kids, captioned: ‘THEY ARE GETTING MARRIED’.
However, Donna, who has been split from Ed for a number of years, is said to be very sentimental about the relationship.
She has started to gather a collection of memories about her youngest son’s romance with the singer.
A source told People: ‘Donna is already saving little things from this time like photos, notes and flowers.

‘Both families are overjoyed. There were toasts, happy tears and everyone is thrilled for them.’
Amid the celebrations, Kelce is gearing up for the start of the new NFL season which begins next week.
His Kansas City Chiefs team are heading to Brazil next Wednesday ahead of their season opener against divisional rivals Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo on Friday, September 5.
It has meant, in part, that the couple aren’t yet planning details for the big day.
