- Lachlan Ilias has become social media sensation with dance moves
Dragons playmaker Lachlan Ilias has seemingly been banned from making more of his viral TikTok dancing videos after the lighthearted clips became the talk of the footy world.
Ilias, who joined St George Illawarra from South Sydney in the off-season, has become a social media sensation on TikTok in recent weeks for his cringeworthy dance moves.
In the clips, the 25-year-old can be seen letting loose at home with moves that have sparked very mixed reactions among fans and his fellow footy stars, in addition to getting more than 100,000 likes on the platform.
Braith Anasta, Ilias’ manager, has addressed the star’s viral video, joking that he thought his client was ‘having a mid-life crisis’ when he first saw the clips.
‘I don’t get the TikTok stuff, I don’t have it, when I saw it I was like, “What is this?”‘ Anasta told Triple M Breakfast.
‘Everyone’s tagging me in it, everyone is wanting me to do one…

Braith Anasta, who manages Ilias, said he doesn’t think fans will be seeing more dance videos
‘Put it this way, I met him yesterday and I don’t think we’ll be seeing many more TikToks. Sorry to everyone.’
Footy cult hero Willie Mason had a hilarious reaction to Ilias’s dancing after viewing the TikTok clips.
‘Alright, I don’t want him in first grade,’ joked Mason, referring to Ilias’s struggles to crack the first team, despite being in excellent form of late.
‘I’m with you Flanno [coach Shane Flanagan] – don’t do that sh*t.’
After watching another clip, Mason burst out laughing and yelled: ‘Braith Anasta, look after your boy! Get him off socials. You are an NRL player not a f**king influencer.’
‘I love Lachy, I didn’t know he had it in him… I thought that was AI. That’s how much I did not know that Lachy had it in him.’
Many footy fans in the comments noted how happy they were seeing an NRL player showing some personality.

‘Don’t listen to Braith Anasta keep the TikToks coming bruz,’ said a third.
Other NRL stars also weighed in with funny comments.
Ilias’s former Souths teammate Alex Johnston wrote, ‘What’s going on over there?’, with his fellow Dragon Tyrell Sloan adding, ‘Wipe me dawnnnn.’
Retiring Rooster Chad Townsend wrote a simple ‘Brooo’ with cry-laughing emojis, while Ilias’s current teammate Valentine Holmes commented, ‘Nah you win.’
