This is the terrifying moment a brand new £700,000 luxury yacht turned over and sank just 15 minutes after being launched into the water, forcing its owner to swim to shore.
The incident happened about 200 metres offshore in the Eregli district of Zonguldak in northern Turkey on Tuesday.
Footage shows the yacht tipping onto its side and sinking into the sea as those on board jump overboard in panic.
A man, believed to be the owner, can be seen standing on the side of the vessel as it begins to sink, before he plunged into the sea and begins to hurriedly swim to shore.
The boat’s captain and two crew members are also understood to have jumped overboard.
No injuries were reported.
The vessel, named Dolce Vento, was between 24 and 30 metres long and had been completed at the Med Yilmaz Shipyard in about five months before being delivered to its owner from Istanbul.
Coast Guard and port teams were dispatched and established a security perimeter.

Rescue teams with technical equipment have been sent to the scene to begin recovery work.
Shipyard officials said a detailed investigation will be carried out and the cause of the sinking will be determined following technical inspections.
Experts have noted that stability problems, such as errors in metacentric height calculations, are among the most significant factors that can cause vessels to capsize or sink.
The investigation is ongoing.
Earlier this year, a luxury yacht carrying tourists crashed into rocks and sunk during a chaotic New Year’s Day boat trip.
The vessel – named Amore Mio – was ferrying guests in Mexico who were celebrating the start of 2025 in style before it went dramatically wrong.
Tense footage captured the luxury whit boat slamming into a large rock wall as a group of bikini-clad revelers crammed into an open space at the front of the yacht.

The ship could be seen swaying from side to side as the panicked guests scrambled to find safety before the boat toppled or crashed into the rock surface again.
Onlookers and divers frantically called out to the tourists and made hand gestures encouraging them to escape the crashing boat by jumping off the side.
Screams and yells of stranded tourists filled the footage as some were seen walking to the side of the boat to jump off while other remained stationed in the bow.
According to local reports, a total of 15 tourists fell into the water but were thankfully saved by nearby divers who dragged them to safety.
