Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball player Rudy Whitehorn has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors after allegedly kicking in a front door and bedroom door during an altercation at a woman’s residence
If she stays out of trouble and attends anger management classes, the charges for aggravated trespassing and vandalism can be expunged from her criminal record in a year.
‘As a result of a lot of hard work and investigation, we were able to enter into a favorable plea agreement,’ Whitehorn’s attorney, Gregory Isaacs, said. ‘Ms. Whitehorn is an excellent student-athlete and intends to focus her attention on athletics and academics at the University of Tennessee.’
Isaacs previously told reporters that eyewitnesses contradicted the claims against Whitehorn, who reportedly told officers she was only at the woman’s residence to retrieve a phone and passport that had been taken.
Whitehorn was arrested on August 8 by Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
She was suspended from the team indefinitely weeks after her arrest and her status moving forward remains unclear. Daily Mail has reached out to Tennessee spokespeople for comment.

Ruby Whitehorn was arrested for aggravated burglary and domestic assault, but has now pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated trespassing and vandalism
Citing court records, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported that cops responded to a domestic dispute call involving Whitehorn on 4:18pm on August 8.
The fight allegedly began when the other woman saw Whitehorn in the parking lot and heard glass break outside of her residence.
Police say the pair began fighting before the other woman ran inside with what she believed to her phone, locking the door behind her.
However, according to officers, the victim actually took Whitehorn’s phone, and the basketball player allegedly resorted to ‘chasing her upstairs’ after kicking in the front door.
From there, Whitehorn is alleged to have also kicked in the victim’s bedroom door and smashed a glass mirror in the bedroom before taking her phone and leaving.
The victim has claimed she was ‘in complete fear that Ruby was going to harm her while she was inside the house,’ the report read.

Whitehorn has been a three-year starter for the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team
Whitehorn, meanwhile, claimed she was ‘trying to defend herself and ‘just getting her property back’ – accusing the other woman of also taking her passport from her before going inside.
Ultimately, police determined that Whitehorn was the aggressor in the situation, and booked her on the aggravated burglary and domestic assault charges – both of which are felonies.
Whitehorn, a native of Detroit, has been a three-year starter for the Lady Vols since joining the program in 2022.
She has career averages of 11.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the program.
