After a quiet winter on the society front, the Sydney social calendar roared back to life over the weekend.
We’re talking four unmissable A-list parties in a very eventful 36 hours to celebrate the first weekend of spring.
Hospitality tsar Justin Hemmes kicked things off on Friday with a launch party to celebrate the opening of his new late-night music bar, The Press, in Bridge Lane.
The mogul’s latest venture drew quite the crowd.
Simone Holtznagel, the sister of his partner Madeline, stunned in a sheer beige dress and a pair of strappy gold heels.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail’s new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.

Shelley, fresh from her divorce, couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she painted the town red
Shelley Sullivan, founder of ModelCo cosmetics, was joined by high-profile lawyer Rebekah Giles and interior designer Josh Clapp (who used to date Pip Edwards).
Stylist Caroline Tran was also spotted arriving in a black lace dress, flanked by Giorgio Armani publicist Billy Mitchell and his Four Seasons condom heir husband Michael Porter.
Meanwhile, blast-from-the-past Imogen Anthony – the former girlfriend of radio host Kyle Sandilands – rocked up in her typical barely-there style.
Rounding out the star-studded guest list was another Sandilands associate: Kings Cross nightclub king John Ibrahim, who looked dapper in an all-black ensemble.
As these big names assembled in the CBD, at the eastern suburbs home of Camilla Speer – wife of private equity figure Nick Speer and a member of Melbourne’s property-developing Deague family – a wild birthday party was unfolding.
Daily Mail’s favourite eyebrow technician Kristin Fisher was celebrating her long-awaited 40th alongside a host of friends from the high society B-team.
We’re told it was quite the celebration, with guests partying until the wee hours.
The ‘naughty 40’ birthday girl looked sensational in a mini white lace dress, with footage showing her dancing on tables.

We also spied what looked to be invitations or place settings referencing Kristin’s tabloid notoriety.
The print-outs featured a photo of KF (as she is known in the east) alongside the headline ‘Sydney’s most eligible ladies’ and the text ‘GET OVER ME!’ – a slogan she is known to use on Instagram whenever she features in the Daily Mail.
The biggest name in attendance was Pilates queen Bernadette Sukkar (née Fahey) – though it’s unclear how long she stayed because she had quite a busy weekend.
Kristin was also joined on her milestone birthday by her glamorous sister Kate Bond, the wife of Alan and Eileen Bond‘s grandson Banjo.
The following day, Bernadette joined other eastern suburbs socialites at Bert’s Bar & Brasserie to celebrate heiress Lou O’Neil‘s baby shower.
Lou – whose father was Donald Hay, the founder of the multimillion-dollar cleaning company Hayco – is expecting her second child with property developer Jake O’Neil.
A Who’s Who of high society was in attendance to celebrate the O’Neils’ pregnancy, including PR powerhouse Montarna McDonald and the aforementioned Caroline (in her second party appearance of the weekend).
They enjoyed caviar and cocktails as they toasted to the mum-to-be.

As if her weekend wasn’t busy enough attending other socialites’ parties, Bernadette also hosted her own.
She threw a soirée featuring a brilliant theme – 1990s sitcom The Nanny – at the Japanese restaurant Tanuki in Double Bay.
It was attended by the likes of Chelsea Svoboda, Bondi model Casey James, and interior designer Jade Yarbrough (sister of Karl Stefanovic‘s wife Jasmine), as well as Caroline – making her third party attendance in 36 hours.
Hostess-with-the-mostess Bernadette showed off her figure in a mini blazer dress which featured white buttons along the front, inspired by the character C. C. Babcock.
Her guests were also dressed in outfits similar to those featured in the popular sitcom, with most of the men opting for Mr Sheffield-inspired looks.
