Yankees fans went wild on Monday night as shortstop Anthony Volpe made his red carpet debut with his apparent new girlfriend.
Volpe and his date, who has since been identified as Elle Jowett, attended the Willow Gala, an event put on by the foundation of Volpe’s Yankees teammate Carlos Rodon.
And after the YES Network posted a video of the apparent couple posing with Rodon and his wife, Ashley, fans were left stunned on social media.
‘Sorry Anthony I was not familiar with your game,’ one wrote of seeing Volpe with the blonde.
‘Chat who is this girl?!,’ another asked.
‘Well he’s winning off of the field… that’s for sure,’ a third added.

Anthony Volpe was spotted alongside Elle Jowett at a charity gala on Monday night

Jowett is a native of Maine and is believed to be a student in New York City
And a fourth boasted: ‘Yea thats my shortstop,’ with several-laughing-crying emojis.
In the video, Volpe could be seen putting his arm around Jowett as they posed for a photo alongside the Rodons.
The shortstop wore a tux to the event, which was a silent auction to support infertility and pregnancy loss, while Jowett wore a beige dress with a cut-out on one side.
Beyond the pair’s outing at the event, there are other indications that they could be an item – and have been for some time.
The pair follow each other on Instagram, while Ashley Rodon and Chase Carter – the wife of centerfielder Cody Bellinger – have commented on her Instagram, according to the New York Post.
Jowett also appeared to be sitting in the stands of Yankee Stadium in a TikTok that she posted back in June.
In a street interview from late 2023, Jowett said that she was a student in New York City and had recently moved to the Big Apple from Maine.

She has a sizable social media presence, as she has over 1.3million likes on TikTok and over 16.3k followers on Instagram.
Volpe, 24, has endured a difficult season for the Yankees.
The third-year player is hitting just .207 with an OPS of .665, though he has added 19 home runs at the plate.
He also leads the American League with 19 errors thus far.
Nonetheless, Volpe is still viewed as the team’s starting shortstop by manager Aaron Boone as they approach the postseason.
The Yankees are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are now leading the AL Wild Card race by 4.5 games.
They will host the Tigers on Tuesday night as part of a three-game homestand against Detroit.
