One of the highlights of the summer was our scoop about property developer Max Shepherd enjoying a cosy reunion with his ex Dina Broadhurst.
The pair, who dated for four years until 2023, got together in Sydney in December to sell their Darling Point apartment – but in between meetings with potential buyers, they managed to squeeze in an afternoon of sunbathing at Kutti Beach.
It was all above board, but we did notice that Dina was topless – and we immediately wondered what Max’s then-fiancée, American actress Vail Bloom, thought of it all.
While we make no suggestion Max was unfaithful, Vail wasn’t impressed by Dina parading half-naked in front of her man. The couple’s long-distance relationship between Sydney and LA crumbled within months, with Vail confirming the break-up to us exclusively in early February.
Flash forward to September and Max is now loved up with Hannah Waites, a DJ and executive business manager at Future Now Capital.

We’ve known about them since June, but they waited until the surprise wedding of restaurateur Charlie Kelly and his wife Mira in Bali last month to go public.
In response to this news, we once again reached out to Vail to get her thoughts on Max’s new relationship. Her response was gracious… but there was a sting in the tail that suggests there may still be some lingering acrimony.
‘I honestly wish him well. Every relationship is a new chance to grow, and I hope he brings his best self this time – hopefully proximity will help,’ she told the Daily Mail.

The LA-based mother-of-two also revealed she has just wrapped filming on a new movie in Kentucky and is looking forward to another upcoming project.
‘This fall I’ll be working on another film in London, and I spent the entire summer in Europe with my babies by my side, so life is really good right now,’ she added.
Vail, who in addition to being an actress also starred in Vanderpump Rules, dated Max for about a year but the distance proved to throw a spanner in the works.
Before they got together, Max had been in a long-term relationship with ‘nude artist’ Dina, who is 15 years his senior, from 2018 until mid-2023.

They owned a plush apartment in Darling Point together, which they renovated but never properly moved into, and sold it in August for $8million – a tidy profit.
In between finishing things with Vail and getting with Hannah, Max found time for a fling with Simone Holtznagel, the sister of Justin Hemmes‘ baby mama Madeline.
Many hoped they would be the next big society couple, but it wasn’t to be.
Sources later told us Simone felt ‘silly’ about it all and regretted word getting out that they were seeing each other.
It comes as Max and Hannah go public with their romance after ‘hard-launching’ at a wedding in Canggu weeks ago.
We were first to report they were an item – and the fact that Hannah used to date Highland Double Bay director David Malouf – the same real estate agent who sold Max and Dina’s Darling Point unit.
