Married At First Sight 2026 is spiralling into chaos.
Insiders admitted producers can barely keep up as the most rogue cast in years unleashes feuds, betrayals and walk-outs that are shaking the experiment to its core.
The Daily Mail previously revealed producers had introduced weekly drug testing and curfews in a desperate bid to rein in participants.
But despite the clampdown, next year’s crop of brides and grooms are refusing to play ball – staging dramatic exits, defying orders, and some have even already hired their own PR teams.
Gia vs Bec – from brunch buddies to bitter enemies
At the heart of the chaos is a bitter feud between Gia Fleur and Rebecca Zacharia — a friendship-turned-rivalry so toxic, producers are struggling to even keep them in the same room.

Despite a crackdown, next year’s crop of brides and grooms are refusing to play ball – staging dramatic exits, defying orders, and some have even already hired their own PR teams
‘They went from clinking glasses to cold-war stares in a heartbeat,’ a well-placed production source said.
The feud reportedly ignited from the very first episode after Bec is overheard calling Gia a ‘trashy s**t’ to other brides at the hen’s, while smiling to her face, before going on to sledge her in front of the cameras.
‘It was the two-facedness of it that lit the fuse,’ says an insider.
‘By the time cameras rolled for their first big group event, the tension was humming.
‘They made up briefly, but the truce never lasted. Every time they patched things up, another lie or betrayal would come out.’
According to multiple sources, the feud snowballed after Gia allegedly exposed Bec’s contradictions in front of other cast members — pointing out moments where she’d told one story to some and a different version to others.
‘Suddenly there were receipts being waved around, screenshots being shown to the group – it was brutal,’ one source revealed.
‘Private messages, gossip, all of it was dragged into the open.’

Now, Bec is downplaying the drama, telling friends that Gia ‘started trouble and spread lies,’ while Gia has privately fumed that Bec ‘crossed a line that can’t be uncrossed.’
‘It’s gone from hugs and sneaky cocktails on the weekends to screaming matches and icy glares,’ an insider spilled.
‘It’s genuinely toxic — producers are rubbing their hands together because it’s TV gold.’
‘Bec is telling everyone Gia is the problem, but Gia is saying Bec has shown her true colours. It’s vicious,’ the source continued.
Brook vs Stella – claws out over cocktails
If there’s one bride producers believe will dominate screens this coming season, it’s Brook Crompton.
The Gold Coast stunner is a part-time model and talent acquisition specialist who already boasts more than 5,000 followers.
‘She’s the life of the party but has her friends’ backs no matter what,’ says one close pal. ‘Brook’s fiercely loyal, but she won’t stand by and watch toxic behaviour – she calls it out on the spot.’
That fearless streak was put to the test at a girls’ lunch in Sydney, when pint-sized powerhouse Stella – real name Aiste Mickunaite, a master eyelash and brow specialist – blindsided Brook with a brutal character takedown.

‘Stella told her Brook that she came across as cold and fake, right there in front of everyone,’ one witness recalled. ‘You could have heard a pin drop’

While Stella may be known for uplifting others with her work, insiders say she’s no pushover off the clock.
‘She’s a good soul but also has a rebel side – she’s been known to jump on a motorbike and chase the thrill. People underestimate her because of her size, but she’s tougher than she looks,’ a source revealed.
For Brook, the ambush struck a nerve.
‘She didn’t clap back in the moment, but everyone could see her jaw clench,’ says the insider. ‘She waited until the next dinner party and then unleashed.’
According to production sources, Brook confronted Stella head-on, labelling her comments ‘toxic’ and accusing her of stirring the pot.
‘She’s not here to settle for less – not in love and not in friendship,’ another insider spilled.

‘Viewers will see a bride who stands tall, even when the knives are out.’
Producers believe the Brook-Stella rivalry could become one of the season’s most talked-about storylines.
The villain groom who makes Harrison look tame
If fans thought Harrison Boon set the gold standard for villainy on MAFS, just wait until they come face-to-face with this season’s most controversial groom
According to insiders, this bloke doesn’t just push boundaries – he bulldozes right through them.
‘This guy is on another level,’ one well-placed source confessed.
‘He’s brazen, unapologetic, and some of the things he said were so outrageous producers had to step in to shut it down.’
From the moment he entered the experiment, the intruder groom made no secret of the fact he wanted a ‘submissive wife’ who would fall in line with his alpha attitude.
His swagger instantly rubbed the brides the wrong way, with one reportedly branding him ‘a walking red flag’ before the entrée was even served at a dinner party.

The shocking ex-lover scandal
In the twist set to detonate at a dinner party, another bride is accused of quietly flying back to her hometown mid-season and sleeping with an ex.
‘It’s the ultimate betrayal of the experiment,’ a well-placed source tells Daily Mail.
‘If it is true, it’ll blow the show wide open.’
The accusation is spreading like wildfire among the cast and has already poisoned multiple friendships.
‘No one knows who to trust,’ an insider said.
‘Loyalties flip by the hour.’

The fireworks aren’t confined to the dinner table. Daily Mail can reveal that walk-outs have become a running theme with several brides and grooms storming out of the experiment

‘Whole filming days have been nuked because cast refused vanished,’ one exasperated insider said
Mass walk-outs – and production on the back foot

‘Whole filming days have been nuked because cast vanished,’ one exasperated insider said.
‘They’re not following the playbook – they’re writing their own.’
Even with weekly drug tests and curfews in place, the clampdown just isn’t working.
‘This group is the most unruly we’ve had in years. It’s carnage,’ another crew member admitted.
Married At First Sight returns to Channel Nine in 2026.
