An avid traveller has shared her three top tips on how to holiday for less in one of the world’s most expensive destinations.
London-based travel content creator, Paige, who goes by @travelsbypaige on Instagram, regularly shares luxury travel tips and restaurant recommendations for holidaymakers seeking a refined experience whilst on a budget.
In her latest video, she revealed three money-saving hacks that she ‘swears by’ when travelling to the Dubai, an opulent hotspot renowned for its iconic five-star hotels, glittering skyscrapers, high-end shopping and world-class dining.
Paige’s first recommendation – for those flying from London – is to take an overnight flight in order to save money on food and accommodation.
She added: ‘You’ll land in time for breakfast and skip paying for your first night’s stay – just pack a neck pillow and pray for sleep.’
Her next tip for holidaymakers heading to the UAE city is to book half board accommodation – ensuring breakfast and dinner are included each day.
Booking half board can help keep costs down as two key meals are pre-paid, giving guests the option to explore local food outside the hotel at a much lower price point.
Paige added: ‘So many top-tier hotels offer it, and trust me, their restaurants are chef’s kiss. You’ll dine like royalty without the royal bill.’

Her third and final tip is especially beneficial for female travellers in search of alcoholic drinks at a discount.
She said: ‘Look out for Ladies’ Day events on certain days. Ladies’ Day events are a vibe and GREAT prices, think dreamy venues, great food, and drinks deals that make it a girls’ trip essential.’
Though the incentive is aimed at female guests, Paige assured some venues offer ‘good rates for guys’ too.
Meanwhile, a travel expert recently revealed how to save hundreds on bucket-list Maldives holidays.
According to Sheryl Drane, Maldives destination expert at Travelbag, a lavish getaway to the South Asian hotspot doesn’t have to cost a fortune if you know a few savvy tricks.
One of the expert’s top money-saving tips is choosing the right time of the year to travel.
While peak season (November to April) is favoured for its perfect weather, it’s also when prices are at their highest.
Instead, Drane suggested booking during the off-season, from May to October, when flight and hotel prices can drop by nearly 20 per cent.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Drane added: ‘These months also offer ideal surfing conditions and fewer crowds, perfect for those seeking both adventure and tranquility.
She also cautioned holidaymakers against to meticulously plan transfers when travelling to the island nation.
While scenic seaplane rides add a glamourous touch to the journey, they can set back the average traveller hundreds of pounds per trip.
One of the easiest ways to save is to book a shared speedboat transfer, which is much more affordable – and still offers a memorable experience.
