Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill has been carted off with a horrifying leg injury in Monday night’s game against the New York Jets.
Hill went down in the third quarter after getting tackled by the sideline, with the Jets defender landing awkwardly on the back his legs. Hill was immediately writhing in agony and there was a lengthy delay while he was treated by medics before the cart came out.
As Hill rolled on the turf, his foot appeated to be pointing the wrong way but he held his knee. Both Jets and Dolphins players immediately stopped in concern and called for doctors to race onto the field.
Then, as Hill was taken away, he raised his hands to the crowd as if he was calling for them to make more noise.
He applauded at one moment and even bizarrely waved to Dolphins supporters but replays of the injury were so bad, there were immediate fears over him playing again in the 2025 season.
The Dolphins, going after their first win of the season, were quick to rule him out of the game with what they said was a knee injury.
