Royal fans and tourists alike are in for a double-treat in London this Christmas, as Buckingham Palace has announced its first ever festive shop.
From 14 November to 5 January, the iconic Royal Mews will be transformed into a winter wonderland, where visitors can snap up official royal gifts, decorations and seasonal treats.
The pop-up shop will showcase a range of bespoke goods, such as small-batch gin distilled with botanicals derived from Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, along with kitchenware inspired by the Great Kitchen at Windsor Castle.
Also available is official chinaware from the Royal Collection Trust, a department of the Royal Household and charity that runs the market.
Each piece of exquisite chinaware is handcrafted, fired and decorated at The Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent using techniques that have been polished over 250 years.
Shoppers will also be able to pick up hand-embroidered ornaments from India, intricately-designed crystal wine glasses inspired by Queen Victoria‘s Grand Punch Bowl, and children’s plush toys crafted from 100 per cent recycled materials.
A full-sized advent calendar will also be up for grabs, with limited edition and collector’s items hidden behind each door.
The shop is free to enter, with proceeds from all sales going towards conserving the royal family’s extensive art collection.

Announcing the news on its website, the Royal Collection Trust wrote: ‘For the first time, a Christmas pop-up shop will open at the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, transforming part of the 200-year-old stables into a festive boutique while the Mews is closed to visitors for the winter.
‘Seasonal drinks and nibbles will also be available, adding to the festive spirit, and a full-size advent calendar will feature daily reveals of new products, limited editions, exclusive treats and collector’s items.
‘The income from purchases contributes to the care and conservation of the Royal Collection and helps Royal Collection Trust to share it with everyone, wherever they are.’
Shoppers can either browse the collection at the pop-up or online via the Royal Collection website or at Trust shops located in London.
