Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant appeared to try and ‘shoot his shot’ with sports reporter Kay Adams during an interview segment on her FanDuel show ‘Up and Adams’.
In a clip that has since gone viral on social media, Durant was seen trying to convince the reporter to make a trip down to the ‘Bayou City’ to catch a game.
Durant began his invite by saying he ‘expected’ Adams to come to a game, to which the reporter immediately shook her head and gave a ‘nuh-uh’ of disapproval.
‘I came to a game and you did not even… you literally would not even wave,’ Adams said to Durant.
The NBA champion then mentioned that he only found out that Adams attended ‘the next week on your show that you were at my game, which is crazy.’
‘Kevin I think I literally told you I was at the game, I said “See you tonight!”,’ Adams retorted.

But Adams didn’t seem interested after he spurned her when she attended one of his games
Durant then tried moving on: ‘It’s all good, that’s old news… we’re moving on to the next season, and I’ll see you at one of these games in Houston. We’re going for barbecue down in Texas when you get out here.’
The 37-year-old, who played his college basketball at Texas, said that he felt at home thanks to the ‘Southern hospitality’ in the city.
‘You gon’ see once you get down here, I ain’t gonna keep telling you, you’re just gonna have to immerse yourself in the culture once you get down here,’ Durant said to continue his invitation efforts.
Adams wasn’t having it: ‘I feel like… fool me once… fool me twice.’ Durant then replied, ‘Wow… alright, bye Kay.’
Fans were stunned by the forward advances from the NBA legend.
‘KD finally tryna lock in and get a family I love to see it,’ read one comment on X.
Another comment read, ‘Celebrities asking people out on Twitter is either super smooth or incredibly awkward. No in-between.’
‘Her show is just dudes shooting their shot at her,’ said one user.
Last season, Durant hit the 30,000 point mark – but suffered a season-ending injury and watched as his Phoenix Suns team missed the playoffs.
