The Strictly star returned to screens last month with a stunning new look as she took her seat once again on the judging panel.
Instead of turning to weight loss jabs like many celebrities, Motsi went back to basics and focused on better nutrition and exercise.
She credits weight training and eating nuts, fruit and salad as the answer to her jaw-dropping weight loss.
Motsi also revealed menopause sparked her motivation to get fit for ‘what’s to come’.
She told The Sun: ‘I hate the fact that every podcast or everything I see online about it is based on fearmongering. I’ve never heard anyone say, “Don’t worry, it’s not that bad!” I even asked Shirley Ballas. “Will it be OK?” and she shook her head, saying, “No, it’s going to be a ride!”
‘I am preparing for what may come. I want to be ready, I’ve done an overhaul of my diet. I’m doing weights and building muscle. I’m eating nuts, fruit and salad.
‘I’m going to the sauna three times a week, as it helps reduce your cortisol levels. I find ice baths are good for my mental health, too.’
Motsi said that although she has dropped the pounds, she fears her progress will go out the window in the midst of her busy Strictly schedule.

She added: ‘It’s causing me anxiety now that Strictly has started again. I did think, “How am I going to keep doing this?” That’s my biggest challenge – making it work, especially when I’m on tour.’
This year, Strictly Come Dancing has introduced a major new twist, partly to reportedly ‘ease the pressure on head judge Shirley Ballas‘, who has faced years of relentless trolling over her dance-off decisions.
Since joining the panel in 2017, Shirley, 65, has carried the burden of the deciding vote whenever the judges were split on which couple to save.
But that responsibility has now been lifted, with the power instead rotating each week between her fellow judges Motsi, Anton Du Beke and Craig.
Speaking about the new set-up, Shirley said last week: ‘For seven years, I have been responsible for one gruelling decision. But that’s about to change.’
Co-host Tess Daly explained that viewers will now choose which judge gets the casting vote each week.

While there were multiple factors that were reportedly behind bosses’ decision to make the change, including adding more drama to the results show, it did come amid claims that Shirley had asked for support in handling the relentless online abuse she has faced over her past decisions.
A source told The Mirror: ‘A happy by-product of the change will mean that Shirley is subject to less vitriol.
‘The fundamental reason behind the switch-up in the rules is to make the show more exciting but it’s fair to say that any move that lessens one judge unfairly facing abuse all the time is welcome too. Especially one as loved as Shirley.’
