There’s a reason Tom Arnold named his comedy tour My Crazy X-Wife, having been married and divorced four times, most famously to Roseanne Barr.
‘People say, “My Crazy X-Wife, oh I know which one that is. It’s Roseanne!”‘ the 66-year-old comedian told Us Weekly last Friday.
‘And I’m like, “She’s not even close to my craziest ex-wife because we didn’t have kids together.” The worst thing she did was go on Saturday Night Live and say I have a three-inch penis, which is confidential information. You take that to the grave.’
Tom then wisecracked: ‘Even a 747 looks small when it flies over the Grand Canyon.’
Arnold originally met the 72-year-old Emmy winner in 1983 while opening for her in Minneapolis, and she hired him to be a writer on her self-titled ABC sitcom in 1989.
The Fubar star wed Roseanne – who got ‘Property of Tom Arnold’ tattooed on her hip – in 1990 just four days after her divorce was finalized from first husband Bill Pentland, with whom she had three children.

Tom created the character of Arnie Thomas on Roseanne and acted in 20 episodes before their four-year marriage came to an end in 1994 – the same year he scored the role of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s sidekick in James Cameron’s blockbuster True Lies.
Arnold once claimed to Howard Stern that his divorce agreement entitled him to ‘over $20M’ of Barr’s estate including a percentage of the hit show.
The Iowa-born funnyman was married to second ex-wife Julie Armstrong from 1995-1999 and third ex-wife Shelby Roos from 2002-2008.
But Tom only had children with his fourth ex-wife Ashley Groussman, and they co-parent their 12-year-old son Jax and nine-year-old daughter Quinn following a lengthy custody battle that cost ‘millions of dollars.’
When Arnold’s decade-long marriage to the Home Attunement founder ended in 2019, she accused him of domestic violence, which a judge formally dismissed for having ‘no merit’ in July.
‘Despite multiple failed attempts to discredit me, the truth has finally prevailed,’ the Airplane 2025 actor said in a statement in July.
‘This experience has taken a significant toll on my health and well-being, but most importantly, it has been a difficult time for our children. I am grateful for the support of those who stood by me during this difficult time.’
Tom is next scheduled to bring his 33-date My Crazy X-Wife Tour to the Summit City Comedy Club in Fort Wayne, IN on October 23-25.
‘I have four ex-wives. And you can have three ex-wives and still kind of go, “Wait a minute, buddy!” But if you have four ex-wives you go, “Oh my God it’s me,”‘ Arnold admitted.

The Golden Globe winner continued: ‘You have to find a way to make that funny. It’s so crazy because so many things have happened. But I’m just grateful every day. It probably makes me a better dad. I don’t take anything for granted.’
