LeBron James has revealed that he would rather die than be single and without his wife, Savannah.
The NBA legend, 40, has been married to Savannah James for more than a decade and they share three children including James’ Lakers teammate, Bronny.
But the couple has been together for more than three decades, having met back in high school in 2002. And James this week lifted the lid on what he would do to protect their relationship.
During an appearance on Savannah’s Everybody’s Crazy podcast, the NBA legend admitted that relationships are ‘hard as f***’ and that many of his teammates have fallen victim to ‘cutthroat, ruthless a** b*****.’
But James said: ‘I know I don’t want to be alone, that’s for damn sure. If I got to fight, crawl, scratch, bite, whatever to keep mine, I got to keep it.
‘I have to do what I have to do – I don’t want to be alone. I’m an only child, [from a] single-parent household… next time I’m alone, I’ll be underneath [death].’

James grew up in Akron, Ohio, and was raised by his mother, Gloria James. Despite facing financial hardship as a kid, he has gone on to become one of the greatest athletes of his generation.
‘I met my homies for the first time when I was seven or eight years old,’ James continued. ‘We started playing sports, I got around them and we started traveling, playing sports [and] I thought: “Oh this s*** is amazing.”
‘Then when I got with ‘Vannah, I was like: “This s*** is crazy. This is amazing. I love this s***… Nah, f*** that [being alone].’
During his appearance on Everybody’s Crazy, James also discussed some of the crazy stories he has heard from teammates in the NBA about ‘cutthroat, ruthless a** b*****’ that are ‘out here right now.’
‘I sit in the locker room and, s*** now, and there’s a lot of women out here that’s now flipped the script,’ he said.
‘And some homies are out here trying to be good, too, trying to figure it out. And now they are looking in the mirror saying: “Damn what did I do wrong?”‘
James added: ‘Homies, it ain’t you. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.’
