The stars of the NRL swapped the field for the red carpet on Wednesday night as footy’s most glamorous event, the Dally M Medal, kicked off in style.
Leading the charge were the WAGs, who made a dazzling entrance at Sydney‘s Randwick Racecourse, turning the carpet into a fashion runway.
This year’s looks were bolder than ever, with sheer mesh, daring cutouts, thigh-high splits and lots of sequins stealing the spotlight as the women confidently showed off their fashion flair.
All eyes were firmly on the wives and girlfriends of the league’s top players as they sashayed into the ballroom for the sport’s night of nights.
Here are the hits, the risks, and the looks that had everyone talking.
GLITTERING STARS
Easily one of the night’s standout looks, was stunning Fox Sports presenter Jessica Yates who oozed old Hollywood glamour in a high-fashion silver frock that skimmed her slender figure.
Channelling pure Gold Logie glamour, Fox Sports star Lara Pitt dazzled in a sequin-covered Rachel Gilbert gown with a racy thigh-high split – undoubtedly the evening’s hottest accessory.

Kelsea Peck and partner Hudson Young (who has become one of the best back rowers in the NRL at the Canberra Raiders) looked like the modern-day Barbie and Ken – complete with skin so perfect it could well be plastic.
Kelsea, who works for the Government in Canberra, was dressed by celebrity stylist Paul Versace of Styled by Bloom in the custom gown.
And although it’s completely defying the ‘black-tie rules’, she pulled off the sparkle, sheer skirt and tight bodice effortlessly.
Finally, a man with a bit of flair! Payne Haas (of the Broncos) ditched the boring black suit and turned heads in a sharp light grey tux paired with a black shirt, while his glamorous partner Leilani Mohenoa shimmered in a full-length sequin gown.
Together, they were 50 Shades of Grey and smoldered on the (green) carpet.
The sultry Brittany Becht, who is engaged to Broncos star Kotoni Stags, fit right in with a metallic custom gown by Madoh, diamonds by Temelli Jewellery, also styled by Paul Versace.
Breaking up with the metallic trend, Josh Curran (the Canterbury Bulldogs) showed off his stunning partner Kyra, who dazzled in black with a fun bodice detail.

Cut it out, ladies
While some might say ‘worst’, others would argue throwing caution (and dress codes) to the wind in favour of feeling fabulous is what the 2025 style era is all about.
NRL player couple, Dolphins star Tevita Naufahu and Indi Bostock ( St George Illawarra Dragons) certainly turned heads.
With her enviable abs as she posed confidently beside her partner – but it was her bold disregard for the dress code that really caught our eye. Well and a very ill-fitting dress, if we can call it that.
The dangerously short mini, too-long mesh-hem, and strange draping under her belly button made this look more ‘Year 10 formal’ than Dally M elites.
Sydney Roosters statuesque star Isabelle Kelly took a daring leap on the red carpet, forgetting half of her dress, but still walking in complete defiance anyway.
Although her skin was glowing, her mismatched cut-outs and (almost illegal) thigh split, weren’t meshing like the rest of the material.

NRL star Tommy Talau’s girlfriend Jessica Sergis took the see-through trend to new heights in a panelled dress with an ‘underwear illusion’

However, the odd ‘Y’ shape had all of us asking why indeed

Cute couple Kirra Dibb (Cowboys) and cheerleader Holly Langford missed the mark with their couple’s dressing. Awkward cut-outs and clashing colours only highlighted the ill-fitting outfits on both
It was NRL star Tommy Talau’s girlfriend Jessica Sergis who took the see-through trend to a whole new level though, with this panelled number.
The dress included an ‘underwear illusion’ element that flowed into the skirting while also baring her belly, but the odd ‘Y’ shape only drew attention for all the wrong reasons. Why indeed.

Taylor Haynes (The Today Show social reporter) put on a very busty display, showing off her fit figure in a white embroidered gown with silver accents.
Although she accompanied it with a matching silver clutch, the dress looked a little hard to breathe in, but she still managed a beaming smile.

Montana Clifford, (who joined Wests Tigers Women during the 2024 NRLW season) kept her look conservative with black long sleeves and hemline – before you saw the back.
Although very on trend with all-over mesh, it was the unflattering draped fabric around her chest area that let the look down and distracted from everything else that fit so well.

Jocelyn Kelleher (Sydney Roosters) wowed in satin, feathers and a thigh-high split, but her tight strappy diamante heels had us worried about her circulation

Tipani Matai in pink (standing with partner to Isaiya Katoa of the Dolphins) and Yasmin Clydsdale in blue, arrived in near-identical gowns – matching straps, plunging necklines and sequins. Both looked stunning, so let’s call it a tie (but maybe text first next time!)
Jocelyn Kelleher (star of the Sydney Roosters Women’s Premiership) opted for satin, feathers and a thigh-high split which hugged her curves beautifully.
However, it was the strappy, diamante heels wrapping around her ankles left us worried she might cut off circulation permanently.
It was further down the red carpet that we had to do a double take when Tipani Matai (partner to Isaiya Katoa of the Dolphins, pictured) and Yasmin Clydsdale (of the Newcastle Knights) arrived.
Both strikingly similar gowns from designer label Misha, it was matching straps, plunging necklines and floor-length sequins, with one in pink and the other in blue.
Both looked fabulous, so we’ll call it a tie – but perhaps a quick text before next year’s awards wouldn’t go amiss!

The Dally M red carpet once again reminded us of the golden rule of league’s night of nights: it’s not just about the accolades – it’s about the fashion moments that turn heads, drop jaws and set group chats alight.
And wow, did they deliver!
