Adele is reportedly in talks to play the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show after she turned down performing in 2016.
Despite not being yet ‘officially booked’, the Hello hitmaker, 37, is rumoured to be taking to the epic American stage for the big game in Santa Clara, California, next February, according to Page Six reports.
The 16-time Grammy Award winner previously turned down the performance in 2016 when she was asked to take the stage for the 2017 game.
At the time, Adele told a Los Angeles crowd: ‘First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl… I mean, that show is not about music. I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.’
The Skyfall singer has previously attended the Super Bowl game as a fan, accompanied by her fiancé Rich Paul, who is one of sports’ biggest agents.
In 2024, she told fans: ‘Last year I went, obviously I didn’t go for the football at all. I went to watch Rihanna.’
