A Wetherspoons hotel has been named one of the UK’s best pubs – and it boasts a beautiful beachside location.
The Cabot Court Hotel in the coastal town of Weston-super-Mare has been ranked in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide.
The list aims to name the UK’s best pubs, and has included the hotel.
The CAMRA Good Beer Guide adds 900 new entries in the 2026 Guide.
Standing for Campaign for Real Ale, the UK-based organisation recognises high standards in beer quality, pub atmosphere, and service, The Sun reported.
The pub’s manager, Nik Pipe, told The Weston Mercury, he was thrilled about the news.
He said: ‘I am delighted that Cabot Court Hotel has been recognised for the quality of its real ales by CAMRA members.
‘We offer our customers an excellent range of real ales at all times, including those from regional brewers and microbrewers, as well as hosting our own beer festivals.

‘Staff at the pub work hard to ensure that the real ales on offer are kept in first-class condition at all times and the pub’s inclusion in the guide highlights this.’
Located in a Grade II-listed building and less than one mile from the train station, this hotel is on Weston-super-Mare’s seafront.
It’s a short walk to the town’s famous The Grand Pier – and is also near the Water Adventure Play Park and Weston Museum.
The hotel has 21 bedrooms, comprising double, king, twin and family rooms, many of which have fabulous views of the beach and across the Bristol Channel to Wales.
A mid-week stay in a double room for one night in October costs as little as £63, or £31.50pp.
The hotel doubles as a cozy pub, in true Wetherspoons fashion.
A CAMRA spokesman said: ‘Cabot Court Hotel deserves its place in The Good Beer Guide 2026.
‘It is our belief that if a licensee serves an excellent pint of real ale, then everything else in the pub, including customer service, quality of food and atmosphere, are likely to be of an equally high standard.’
