On her 68th birthday, Melanie Griffith looked particularly youthful while hosting a star-studded party at her $3.7 million Hollywood Hills home.
In exclusive photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the glamorous Working Girl star was seen beaming with pride while wearing a black, floor-length dress and matching lace opera gloves as guests exited the intimate gathering.
Among them, her daughter Dakota Johnson and her mother Tippi Hedren.
Johnson – dressed in khaki trousers and a brown tank top – gingerly assisted her 95-year-old grandmother down the stairs as they left Griffith’s home accompanied by an unnamed man.
Hedren, who has dementia, was seen wearing sunglasses and a brimmed, cherry red boater hat, adding a pop of color to her all-black ensemble.

And it appears the celebration wasn’t a family-only affair.
Johnson’s Materialists co-star Pedro Pascal was notably in attendance, spotted leaving the party later in the evening dressed down in his glasses while sporting a baggy grey t-shirt, blue jeans and baseball hat.
Other guests of the intimate backyard affair included celebrity florist Jeff Leatham and jewelry designer Loree Rodkin.
In more snaps from the celebrations, Johnson can be seen fawning over a baby held by an unknown blonde woman.
The Splitsville star, 35, is fresh off the heels of her seven-year relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. In June, news broke that the pair had called it quits after a six-year engagement.
A source previously told the Daily Mail that, at the time of their break-up, the relationship had already ‘been over for a long time, they just haven’t been able to figure out to make it official.’
‘Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much,’ they said.
Johnson, the source said, is also reportedly ‘devastated’ to no longer be around Martin’s kids.
‘Breakups aren’t instant and they continued to breakup and makeup and sometimes things would work when they were away from each other, while they were working because absence makes the heart grow fonder, but then they’d get back together and little things just kept adding up to where they weren’t right for each other anymore,’ the source added.

Johnson, who appeared particularly sun-kissed in photos from Saturday’s festivities, has been spotted soaking up some rays in Ibiza this summer following the split.
In July, she was pictured lounging on a luxury yacht with actress Kate Hudson and former NFL quarterback Tom Brady. Around the same time, she was also seen alongside a mystery man in the island paradise.
Griffith, however, was reportedly attempting to reunite her daughter with Martin, 48, a source told the Daily Mail last month.
According to the source, Griffith thinks the break-up is a ‘huge mistake.’
‘Melanie is desperately working behind the scenes to save Dakota’s strained relationship with Chris,’ they said.
‘She’s convinced that they are meant to be together and isn’t giving up on them. She thinks her daughter is making a huge mistake and needs to meet Chris halfway.
‘Melanie has always felt a kinship with Chris, he’s like a son to her.’
Griffith, however, apparently doesn’t want to seem like a ‘meddlesome mother.’
‘She said she’s coming from a place of authentic love for her daughter, rather than control,’ the source said.
Griffith has four children from her three marriages: son Alexander, 39, who she she shares with ex husband Stephen Bauer; daughter Dakota and step-son Jesse, 42, who she shares with Don Johnson; and daughter Stella, 28, who she shares with Antonio Banderas.
Coincidentally, Banderas celebrated his 65th birthday on Sunday, writing on Instagram: ‘I pause for a moment to smile at the road I’ve traveled, to surrender gratefully to my present and, defying both mathematics and the passing of time, to congratulate myself for still being young.’

Griffith, who is set to narrate the upcoming dramedy By Design, recently posed in a rare photo with Stella this summer, months after celebrating her mother Hedren’s 95th birthday.
In January, Griffith shared a video of The Birds actress on Instagram, calling her ‘happy, healthy and feisty.’
Representatives for Hedren confirmed last year that the Hollywood legend had been diagnosed with dementia.
The news came after a Spanish journalist requested an interview with Hedren – who founded an 80-acre big cat sanctuary – and was rejected due to the actress’ health.
‘She has dementia, and is unable to remember her career at all,’ her team said.
‘She just turned 94, so unfortunately, time has taken its toll.’
